DIY: 2 All Natural Bath Salts for a new bathing experience!

I love my bathtub! I spend so much time in hot water, reading, dreaming, productive thinking or simply relaxing. I light up a candle, add some salt, essences or even flowers and indulge in 20min of “Me Time”. Getting some All Natural bath goodies can end up really expensive, so I simply started my own. Not only it is more affordable, but also, I am in control of each ingredient I put in and I can choose and combine them based on the mood of the day. Here I will share with you 2 awesome bath salt recipes that you can use if you either need some boost or if you want to calm down and relax.

Both recipes use Epsom salt, a pure mineral compound  in crystal form that smoothes rough areas and gently exfoliates the skin. It is the latest go-to bath treatment of many celebrities and it is said that soaking in Epsom salt bath help the body to increase its level of magnesium and sulfate. The best part about it? We can now find it in Manila! (I just came across Epsom salt in healthy options the other day).

Flower Salt

This flower salt is my go to bath treatment when I need to relax and decompress after a difficult day. The smell is divine and will make you forget all the troubles you are going through, promise! On top, the recipe uses lavender, known for its antiseptic and anti-inflammatory properties. Bathing with this salt mix will therefore also help you heal minor burns or bites and wounds.

You will need:

1 small cup of Epsom salt

Dried lavender & red roses

25 drops of lavender essential oil

Instructions:

Mix all ingredients together.

Enjoy!

Did you expect making your very own bath salt would be that easy? You can actually use any ingredient of your choice, depending on what is available to you. You might want to add eucalyptus oils,  dried rosemary, or even create a vanilla blend with vanilla essences and pieces of vanilla beans. Share below your ultimate favourite combination!
